Looks like we’ve got the first high-res picture of Galaxy S2 and some info on Samsung’s Galaxy S successor. The first blurry image was spotted by Moveplayer but a bit of ‘Googling’ leads us to this – a high-resolution picture of Samsung Galaxy S II.

The image as well as some info was posted on Daum who also confirms that the new Galaxy S II is just 8.49mm thick as compared to original Galaxy S’ 9.9mm. Also, the phone has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread), HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and weighs just 116g.

    Nice, I’m glad it’s a 4.3″ screen. 4″ is too small.

    4.3″ is just perfect. I hope the dual core is the Orion. Also I hope it has a very good battery life otherwise I’ll have to avoid it like the plague. These guys need to get it into their thick skulls that the battery life is one of the most important things about a phone.

    Do you even know what are you talking about ? first froyo versions appeared on august 2009 dude ! And do you know how many version updates there had been ? more than 40 since it xas launched

    Actually I do. The Vibrant received 2.2 just 2 weeks ago. I have been running custom roms for several months, but the percentage of users that can or want to do this is very small. I don’t know where you are, but if you haven’t read all of the discontent from Galaxy S owners in the US then maybe you should read more.

    It comes with Android 2.3, thats all the update you want in a phone, since Froyo 2.2 all the Os updates are extra and not necessary why ? because everyone wanted to update to Froyo because of Flash Player :)

    Samsung is terrible with updates, my fascine is still on 2.1
    I;’d avoid Samsung phones until they provide provide of timely updates with OS..

    My Samsung Fascinate is still running Android 2.1, the GPS does not work at all and I am told it gets better with 2.2. I can’t edit google docs, use flash etc. Bing is the default search engine, they removed google navigator etc. from the phone but at least that can be download.

    When my Motorola Milestone died on me coupla months ago, I settled with a cheap LG P500 cos I was holding out for a super phone/tablet that’d be out in 2011.
    I thought I had made up my mind on getting a Motorola Xoom and sticking with my LG phone, but now Samsung has forced me to consider other options.
    Going back to the drawing block, it’s Xoom vs Galaxy Tab 10.1, and/or Atrix vs Galaxy SII vs LG Optimus 2X.
    All excellent devices – going by what we know so far – so my choice would eventually be decided on price.

    frm the last yr samsung really did a gr8 job. Nw samsung galaxy s is the top selling phone in japan nd iphone. Apple is jst a loser nw with their old os wid no flash support. But a lil lacks of samsung. But i still go wid samsung. No way its luks lyk that poor apple iphone.

    good spec..
    but i am expecting some one to release 5 inch with honeycomb, which works like laptop, may have physical qwerty, 64 GB storage, dual core is good. then u’ll feel like carrying POWER in your pocket, no need to carry laptop. but the brand should be only from samsung, nokia or sony… other than these have lots of bugs..
