UPDATE: Samsung clarifies further that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 involved in the complaint was not meant for the Australian market. In short an Australian variant of the Tab 10.1 will be launched in the near future.
Samsung has decided to clarify the situation wherein they agreed with Apple to not sell Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. Samsung asserts that the court hasn’t issued any injunction but was in fact due to the mutual agreement by both the parties. There is no definite date yet but Samsung did confirm to launch the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia soon.
Finally, Samsung also clarified that this agreement has no bearing on the devices currently on sale in Australia as well as other regions, including Galaxy Tab 10.1 that is already on sale in few regions.
Samsung and Apple have reached an agreement to not sell or promote Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia until the lawsuit is resolved. If Apple loses the case, the iPhone maker will have to pay Samsung for the loss of sales and damages.
