TCO Development has introduced sustainability certification for tablet PCs and Samsung’s Slate PC Series 7 is the first ever tablet to gain it. TCO Development says including tablets in the certification process is a “natural step” since these devices are “rapidly becoming part of our personal and business PC environment.”

Just like other TCO certified products, Samsung’s Slate PC Series 7 was given the certification only after it was tested against minimal use of hazardous materials, power efficient, ergonomics, product lifetime and more.
