Samsung India today announced the appointment of Mr. B D Park as the President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia Operations and Managing Director. Mr. Park, who was Head of Mobile and IT Division at Samsung India as Director, Mobile and IT assumes his new role from today. He succeeds Mr. Jung Soo Shin who was President & CEO for Samsung South West Asia from February 2009 till date.

In his role as President & CEO of Samsung South West Asia Regional HQ, Mr. Park will oversee the operations of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (SIEL); Samsung India Software Operations (SISO), Samsung’s R & D Centre at Bangalore; Samsung India Software Center (SISC) and SEL India, Samsung’s R&D Centers at Noida as well as the Company’s operations in the SAARC Region.
