Samsung has reportedly stopped production of its Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) tablet. The reason given by a Samsung insider to Netbooknews is that the Korean manufacturer is trying to integrate a powerful quad-core processor. However, there are no details on what quad-core chip will be fitted in the revamped model.
The tablet is codenamed as “Espresso” internally and if you recollect, a recently leaked Samsung document hinted on Espresso tablets for June. The site however, insists that the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) won’t get the processor bump.
Samsung recently confirmed to upgrade the specs of their Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in order to differentiate from other Galaxy Tabs.
