American Airlines to deploy 17,000 Galaxy Note Devices

In an effort to offer a more personalized inflight experience, American Airlines flight attendants will start carrying Samsung’s Galaxy Note. A total of 17,000 Galaxy Note units will be deployed wherein attendants will be able to access customer information, record meal preferences, transact onboard the aircraft and even provide customers with flight information like connecting gate, weather info etc.

American Airlines will begin deploying the device later this year and plans to complete the process by mid-2013.
