Samsung will reportedly pre-load its upcoming Galaxy S6 smartphone with a suite of Microsoft apps, reports SamMobile. The site claims to have got some information regarding the software on the Galaxy S6 and if their source is correct, we’ll see Microsoft apps like OneNote, OneDrive, Office Mobile and Skype pre-loaded onto the device. Although all these apps are downloadable from the Play Store, having the apps pre-installed in a Samsung device gives Microsoft a good chance to expand its user base for its own services. What’s more interesting is that Office Mobile might also come with a free one-year Office 365 subscription.
The rumour of having Microsoft apps pre-installed in a Samsung device is interesting and makes sense, considering Samsung and Microsoft earlier this week reached a “confidential” agreement to drop the ongoing legal dispute regarding the non-payment of royalties.
The site also claims that Samsung will give users the liberty to install/uninstall the TouchWiz bloat through individual app downloads through the app store.
