UPDATE: It seems Samsung made a change in the processor front too. According to this, the Galaxy A has a 720MHz CPU instead of the previously confirmed 800MHz.

Samsung’s first Android device for its home market is now on sale. The phone which we knew as SHW-M100S will be sold on SKT as Galaxy A. Galaxy A understandably bears the same specs as M100S but there are few differences like the new pictures show ‘Android’ writen just above the screen and the call/end buttons seem to have disappeared. Other interesting thing is the integration of a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED PLUS screen that claims to have more touch sensitivity and improved visibility and clarity as compared to conventional AMOLED ones.

Rest of the features include <del datetime="2010-04-28T12:07:47+00:00">800MHz CPU</del>, 5MP camera, 8GB internal memory, video calling, T-DMB, Bluetooth 2.1, DivX support, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack and 1500mAh battery.

The phone will support all Google services, including access to Android Market. It will also support SKT’s T Store.

Samsung has launched Anycall Clutch (SPH-W9500) in its homeland that looks to be a variant of globally available S7070 Diva phone. The phone has the same quilted back but goes for a different diamond shaped home button and just in case if you’re wondering about the name, the phone’s called Clutch because of its resemblance to Clutch bags.

It runs TouchWiz 2.0 UI but Samsung calls it Lady UI mainly because of features like meeting scheduler, party planner, an app to key in weight, calories, SOS and a feature to transform the LCD into a mirror.

As for detailed specs, the phone features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 3G, 3MP main camera with 3D motion picture feature, 1.3MP front facing camera for video conferencing, T-DMB, SOS, Bluetooth, e-dictionary, GPS and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB. It has a 960mAh battery and is capable to give about 6 hours of talk time and 450 hours standby on 3G whereas over 8 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby under GSM.

It will come in three colors – Pink, Silver and Black on KT for 600,000 won (US$523).

Samsung has announced Anycall SPH-W7100 phone that features a few self defense tools, which the youth and women can take advantage off. It has a loud siren that can go up to 100dB, equivalent to a heavy truck horn and could be heard from a 70m distance. If the phone is switched off or is out of coverage, a user can press the SOS button located at the back to email the GPS location of the user to the emergency services authorities. Lastly, there’s a bright LED on the outer shell that can be flashed when needed.

Regarding the specifications, it seems to have a microSD slot and a camera (mostly 2MP). The phone will be launched in South Korea on March 13.
