Samsung has announced three new Home Theatre Systems as part of its 2010 range for the Indian market. The Home Theatres – HT-C450, HT-C550 and HT-C555 are touted as the flagship models that will bring unmatched sound quality and aesthetics at the same time. All the systems boast a 5.1 setup but C450 (500W) and C550 (1000W) comes with four satellite speakers whereas the C555 (1000W) features “tall boy” speakers.

The Home Theatres come with BD Wise technology that tweaks to give excellent video quality (equivalent to full HD quality), Audio CD rip support, HDMI-out, MP3 Enhancer to improve MP3 playback quality and Wi-Fi ready (C555 only).

On the sound front, all the models decode Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS and supports Crystal Amp Pro, Power Bass to output a perfect audio reproduction. Additionally, the HT-C555 and HT-C550 models also have musical auto calibration program to give the best quality sound output of music tone instead of mechanical sound.

The HT-C450, HT-C550 and HT-555 are available for Rs. 12,800, Rs, 17,700 and Rs. 26,660 respectively.

Samsung has introduced two new sound bars in the US market. They’ve announced HW-C450 and HW-C451 that are not only aesthetically appealing but provides high-fidelity audio too. The smooth, thin and no-grill sound bars boast prism Touch of Color design to complement Samsung’s HDTV lineup and features 280W of power output and a wireless subwoofer that claims to give a virtual surround sound effect.

Additionally, Samsung has also announced HT-WDC10, a wireless dock for iPhone and iPod that can be placed anywhere in the room to play music from the sound bars.

HW-C450 will be offered in black from this month for $349.99 whereas silver colored HW-C451 will arrive in May for the same price. The wireless dock is expected to start retailing from March for $149.99.

Samsung has issued a recall of the SGH-C450 phone in the Dutch region citing that the phone produced after September 1, 2008 violates the radio standards of the region. However, the good news is that all C450 users who bought the handsets after Sep 1 are offered a free exchange. It’s the Samsung M150 which is superior to C450 with a larger display, Bluetooth and 20MB internal memory.
