This has got to be one of the worst kept secrets of the Korean giant. Galaxy Tab, Samsung’s first Android tablet has now been caught carrying CDMA band, indicating Samsung is also preparing a CDMA version of the tablet. Samsung will most likely adopt a similar strategy to Galaxy S by launching the device on GSM and CDMA carriers so it can reach most consumers in a short span of time.

This new leak comes by way of a user at the forum, who is apparently in possession of the device and is clearly impressed by Samsung’s efforts. According to him, Adobe Flash content worked like a charm and the tablet appears to be fast with good call and sound quality but slow GPS.

Meanwhile, Oled-display managed to score some details on Galaxy Tab’s accessories, which includes a leather bag, detachable keyboard, HDMI Dock, TV-out cable and more.

Good news for Indian CDMA users wanting some Android action. Rcom will soon release Galaxy i899 on its network, making it India’s first CDMA-based Android phone. The i899 is the same one we saw last year meant for the Chinese market.

There’s no confirmation of which Android build will power the handset but it will feature a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (480×800), 3.2MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Reliance Netconnect, microSD card slot, DivX playback and 1440mAh battery. The features list also mentions “Mobile Safari” web browser, which is obviously a typo.

The phone’s listed as Coming Soon on Rcom’s site and interested users can sign up for further announcement regarding the device.

UPDATE: It’s BCH-F859 and not SCH-F859.

Samsung Wave’s GSM version just went on sale in some countries and thankfully, for CDMA consumers waiting to ride the first bada Wave won’t have to wait longer. Samsung has prepared a CDMA version of their Wave handset and China will apparently be the first country to get it. It will be sold on China Telecom as SCH-F859 and supports EVDO Rev. A.

Except for that, the F859 is the same as S8500. This also has the snappy 1GHz CPU, 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5MP camera, 720p video recording etc.

There’s no word on the availability but considering Samsung’s intention to roll the device in many countries, the day shouldn’t be far away.

Samsung teamed up with Qualcomm to bring Mpower 699 slider phone in India that is claimed to be the world’s first OMH (Open Market Handset) CDMA handset. Earlier, users had to buy a phone from a particular CDMA operator to use their service but with OMH enabled handset, a user now only needs an OMH SIM card from any operator and can use on this phone.

The use of OHM tech equipped phones is said to help CDMA sector, where GSM is huge in country like India. The phones with OHM tech also support existing R-UIM/SIM cards.

Regarding the phone features, it’s a basic slider phone with 1.3MP camera, music player, FM Radio, microSD slot and Mobile Tracker. It will sell for Rs. 7,100.

Though the phone specs is on the lower side, we can expect feature packed CDMA handsets as Samsung plans to sell future handsets in the open market with OMH tech.
