Samsung has announced YP-F3 music player in South Korea, which Samsung says is apt for consumers with active lifestyle. Weighing just 22.5g, the player comes with an inch of display, touch-tone keypad and support for audio formats like MP3, WMA, Ogg, FLAC.

The F3 also features SoundAlive audio tech for improved audio playback, FM Radio and 2GB of storage.

It will retail for 59,000 won (US$52).

Samsung has announced two new music players, the recently leaked YP-Q3 and YP-U6 that will be showcased at the IFA in a couple of days. The YP-Q2 PMP as we know sports a clean design with a color matching GUI, 5.1-channel sound support, SoundAlive and gives up to 45 hours of audio and 6 hours of video on a full battery charge.

On the other hand, YP-U6 is a simple audio player with a color display, SoundAlive, Fitness mode that shows the calories burnt, Voice feedback and 20 hours of continuous audio playback.

NX10 buyers in South Korea are in for a little treat from Samsung. Samsung is running a promotion in its home market till September 30 where every NX10 buyer will get 2GB YP-U5 audio player for free. In addition to the music player, consumers will also get a 10,000 won ($8) gift card that can be used on Samsungmobile.com and a free-to-develop picture coupon.

Samsung’s small and colorful TicToc audio player will soon be available in the Russian market. TicToc looks like a small toy but is a very competent audio player inside that can play MP3/WMA/OGG/FLAC files and features DNSe 3.0 for enhancing audio quality.

TicToc’s another selling point is the integration of accelerometer that can be used to control the player. Pressing a button on the player and shaking it vertically will increase or decrease the volume or shake it horizontally to change the song.

TicToc will arrive in Russia in September in 2GB capacity for 1,890 rubles ($61). It will come in two color options – pink and blue but Samsung will launch a black and a Hello kitty version soon.

TicToc (YP-S1) music player that was unveiled at the CES this year has been officially introduced in South Korea. The 12 gram TicToc player comes in trendy blue or pink colors and relies on the acceleration sensor to execute commands.

User needs to press a button on the top and shake vertically to increase the volume shake horizontally to change the song. The supported audio formats are MP3, WMA, FLAC, Ogg and has an estimated battery life of 12 hours.

The player will come in 2 or 4GB capacities priced at 59,000 won ($50) and 69,000 ($59) won respectively.

In addition to IceTouch and Myfit PMPs, Samsung was also showcasing TicToc audio player. The player emphasizes on the minimalistic design and an intuitive TicToc Motion Control UI. Pressing the button on the top and shaking it will skip it to the next track or tilting it down or upwards changes the volume. Interestingly, shaking it faster or slower skips to the next fast or slow song respectively. This player seems to be targeted at youngsters (predominantly female) going by the choice of colors on offer. It will be available in capacities of 2 and 4GB with an estimated battery life of around 12 hours. No word on the price or availability.

Most gadgets today are capable of recording voice but if you’re in need of a dedicated one, Samsung has one on offer in its home market. The stylish looking YP-VX1 records, plays FM and breaks away from the mould of stereotype clunky voice recorders.

VX1 comes with a 1.1-inch color LCD and comes with a number of features like record activation on voice detection, ambient noise reduction and meeting/interview modes. Other features include DNSe 3.0, MP3 support, FM Radio and storage options of 2 and 4GB.

Samsung will sell the 2GB version for 109,000 Korean won (US$95) and 4GB for 139,000 Korean won (US$121).

Hello Kitty lovers have got yet another gadget from the Korean company. It’s the Popcorn YP-U5 DAP that’s been given the Kitty treatment with the kitty, flowers and subtle use of pink on the player’s face. Apart from that, the player features the same internal specs like 1-inch OLED screen, 2 or 4GB of storage space, FM Radio, voice and FM recording and fitness mode.

The YP-U5 will sell for 65,000 won ($56) for 2GB and 75,000 won ($65) for 4GB.
