<p>Poland and Brazil are the first two countries to receive Android 2.3.4 for Galaxy S II. The XXKG5 and UHKG7 updates are available on Kies for users using Galaxy S II with Polish (XEO) and Brazilian (TTT) CSC respectively. The Android 2.3.4 is the latest Gingerbread update and most probably the last one before Google bumps the Android OS to Ice Cream Sandwich.</p>
<p>Interestingly, the KG5 update is missing Google Talk&#8217;s video functionality which is one of the main features in v2.3.4. </p>
<p>Samsung will release the 2.3.4 update in other regions soon or you can use Odin to flash the above mentioned firmware.</p>

<p>Samsung is holding a media event in New York on Aug 3 to celebrate the launch of Galaxy Tab 10.1&#8242;s new software update. Having an event just for a software update is unheard of but it is understandable considering the update will bring lots of new features. Event attendees will be able to load their Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest update that brings features like TouchWiz UI, Mini Apps, revamped Media Hub, pre-loaded Amazon Cloud Player, Kindle app and bunch of enterprise apps.</p>
<p>Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners in New York will be able to install the latest update at the store on the same day between 1PM to 6PM whereas rest of the crowd will have to wait before Samsung officially releases it. 	</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Galaxy Tab users on Sprint in United States can expect the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/30/sprint-updating-the-samsung-galaxy-tab-with-gingerbread-on-july/" target="_blank">Gingerbread release</a> in the next few days. The EF17 update will be released on July 5 and it will be an OTA update which means users won’t have to hook their devices with Kies. The update will be released across a 4-day period.</p>

Bada devices that support WQVGA resolution include Wave 525, 533, 575, 578 and 723.</p>
<p>As for bada 1.2, it is expected to release in more countries this month with bada 2.0 roll out expected from September.</p>
