Samsung India has announced a new phone in the Guru Series. The Guru Series is known for its affordable price tag and the new Guru Dual-Sim E2152 is no different. The phone supports dual-SIM standby and features a 2-inch QQVGA (128×160) with Paragon Lite user interface, VGA camera, FM Radio, MP3 player, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, 9 regional language support, fake call, dedicated music key and 1000mAh battery that gives up to 11 hours of talk time.

The Guru dual-SIM goes for Rs. 3,550.

Samsung has announced Guru 1175 in India, which is more or less similar to the other Guru Series phones. The phone trades for an affordable Rs. 1,690 ($37) and brings in nifty features like FM Radio that can play for up to 23 hours in a single charge, a torch, Bike Mode that allows users to receive calls only from selected set of contacts and automatic call answer that instantly receives the call and transfers to the headset.

Other features include a 1.52-inch CSTN screen, up to 12 hours of talk time, Mobile Tracker, Fake call, SOS messages, Indian calendar, 9 regional language support and four games.

Samsung surprised us today with the launch of an affordable solar powered mobile phone in India. We were banking on the Blue Earth phone but it’s the Solar Guru (Guru E1107) that will make its way first to the commercial market.

The phone won’t be looked upon for its features but rather for its solar charging prowess, which for 1 hour of solar charging can give around 5-10 minutes of talk time. It supports dual GSM bands (900/1800MHz) and includes a 1.52-inches 65K CSTN screen, FM Radio, MP3 ringtones, torch, Mobile Tracker, Fake Call and a 800mAh battery.

Apart from India, Solar Guru will also be launched in June in Europe, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Latin America.

It will go for just Rs. 2,799 ($59).
