Wave Y La Fleur will go for 5990 rubles and sports a black / maroon color combo with the La Fleur pattern. It is the cheapest bada device running bada 2.0 OS, 3.2-inch display, 832MHz processor, 2MP camera etc.

C3322 La Fleur is a normal candy bar phone with dual-SIM support. It has a metallic body with silver / purple color option. Its priced at 3990 rubles.

Finally, it’s the cheapest La Fleur phone – C3520. The clamshell device comes in jazzy pink and features decent social network integration. It goes for 3490 rubles.

Today, Samsung Electronics will file separate preliminary injunction motions related to communication standards in Paris, France and Milano requesting the courts to block the sale of Apple’s iPhone 4S in the respective markets.

In France and Italy, Samsung’s preliminary injunction requests will cite two patent infringements related to wireless telecommunications technology, specifically Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) standards for 3G mobile handsets.

The infringed technology is essential for reliable functioning of telecom networks and devices and Samsung believes that Apple’s violation as being too severe and that the iPhone 4S should be barred from sales.

Samsung plans to file preliminary injunctions in other countries after further review.

Samsung has released a set-top box in UK capable of recording Freesat video content. The SMT-S7800 integrates a 3.5-inch 500GB hard drive that allows users to record up to 120 hours of HD or 250 hours of SD content.

Additionally, the device has twin tuner enabling users to watch one channel while record another, 8-day Electronic Programme Guide, YouTube and BBC iPlayer support, DLNA, HDMI 1.3, Wi-Fi support via USB dongle and Ethernet connectivity.

Samsung will sell the box for a price of around 300 pounds.

We do know that Samsung is working to support the WiMAX 2 standard and now at the CEATEC in Japan, they’ll demonstrate the WiMAX 2 trial system with UQ Communications. The new mobile WiMAX standard is based on IEEE 802.16m that enables more faster, efficient data communication and is compatible with already deployed Mobile WiMAX solutions, which makes it easier for operators to migrate to next-gen WiMAX standard.

Samsung and UQ Communications are demonstrating full HD 3D videos and 16 full HD videos on 4 large-format displays at the same time using the WiMAX 2 trial system. The max speed achieved by WiMAX 2 is 330Mbps, making it much faster than the current release of Mobile WiMAX.

The WiMAX 2 standard is expected to be finalized by next month with first commercial solution scheduled in end of 2011.

We were certain about Samsung launching Galaxy Tab in India but could it be this early? NDTV is claiming that Samsung will unveil its Android tablet next month and will go for anything in between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000.

Galaxy Tab is Samsung’s first Android tablet that features 1GHz processor, 7-inch Super TFT screen, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, phone functionality, 3MP rear camera with 1.3MP front-facing camera, full HD video playback, microSD card slot and 4000mAh battery.

Although Samsung is second largest mobile phone maker, their smartphone market share has a different story to tell. Needless to say, Samsung is serious about gaining on that front too, which is why they’ve introduced Galaxy S. We spent considerable time with the device and this is what we think.

Galaxy S runs on Android and if we go by its specs, it blows most of the current breed of smartphones off its feet.

Some of its distinguishing features are its 1GHz CPU, 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5MP camera with 720p video recording.

Galaxy S Pro for Sprint that was leaked couple of weeks back has got the official treatment. Its named as Epic 4G and it really is epic when compared to other Galaxy S versions. First and foremost is the integration of 4G, which makes it the first Samsung and second Sprint device to sport 4G.

Other differentiating features are the sliding physical QWERTY keyboard and a power LED flash for the camera that is found only in Verizon’s Fascinate.

Rest of the features are the same – 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, Android 2.1 OS (2.2 OS in “near future”), Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording, onscreen Swype QWERTY keyboard, mobile hotspot support, microSD card slot, DLNA and pre-loaded exclusive Asphalt 5 game.

Sprint will announce availability and pricing details in “coming months.”

After releasing the first batch of official pictures of Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S), Cellphonesignal has published couple more pictures of Vibrant. The photos show Vibrant’s menu and the apps that will be pre-loaded with the device.

Vibrant will be pre-loaded with number of apps like Kindle, Mobile TV, Slacker Radio and games like Avatar and Sims. There’s also a GoGo Wi-Fi app and apparently, Vibrant will be bundled with 6 months of free Wi-Fi service.

T-Mobile is expected to unveil the device in few days.
