Samsung Series 7 Chronos has a really thin bezel that allows to integrate an extra inch of screen in the same form factor (say a 15-inch display in 14-inch laptop). Moreover, the notebook is equipped with an Intel quad-core Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6750M GPU, 1TB HDD, choice of 15.6-inch or 14-inch anti-reflective display supporting a resolution of 1600×900 pixels with 300nits of brightness and 8 hours of battery life with a capacity to charge about 1,500 times before a replacement.

Additionally, the notebook integrates Samsung’s Fast Start technology and Diskeeper’s ExpressCache that brings down the boot time to just 20 seconds and wakeup time to 2 seconds from sleep mode.

The 15.6-inch Series 7 Chronos will be available from January 3 at price varying from 1,790,000 won to 2,000,000 won whereas the 14-inch model will go on sale from late January from 1,790,000 won.

Samsung today announced Series 7 Chronos notebooks that boast performance as well as premium looks. Said to be inspired from Greek God Chronos, the God of Time, the new Series 7 notebooks also emphasizes on the time by performing quickly and efficiently, thanks to Intel Core i7 processor. Moreover, the laptop comes with ExpressCache that drastically reduces the boot time to just 19 seconds and 2 seconds when waking up from sleep mode.

The Series 7 Chronos comes in a metallic body and uses Max Screen bezel tech that helps to fit an extra inch of display in a smaller chassis. Rounding up the specs, the Series 7 Chronos features a display of 15- or 15.6-inches (1600×900) which is non-reflective and has a brightness of 300nits, up to 8GB RAM, up to 750GB HDD, AMD HD6750M discrete graphics, SoundAlive, 1.3MP HD webcam and a battery life that can last up to 9 hours on a single charge.

Samsung will launch the Series 7 Chronos notebooks starting from September but will be showcased at IFA that starts from September 2.
