Well, here is the first piece of info that has come by way of a benchmarking app for Android and was uploaded to its database.

The Tegra 2-powered Samsung device goes by the model number GT-I9103 and though we don’t have an image yet to go with the device, there is a high possibility I9103 could be be a variant of Galaxy S II considering Galaxy S II’s model number is GT-I9100 and Samsung’s statement on Galaxy S II’s specification page of not having a Samsung dual-core AP in some regions.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the only Samsung device that currently uses a dual-core chip from Nvidia. However, Nvidia’s release for the same revealed an interesting tidbit confirming about the development of a phone with an Nvidia chip.

The upcoming “Super Phone” from Samsung will be based on Android OS and though it will have a dual-core processor, it is still unclear if we’ll see the same Tegra 2 we’ve seen in other competitive devices. Speculations suggest the “never-before-seen experiences” statement could mean a 1.2GHz Tegra 2 3D processor.

There has been some murmur about the Galaxy Tab 2 having Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chipset and we’re hearing it again, this time from an analyst. Ambrish Srivastava who is a semiconductors analyst with BMO Capital Markets recently spent a week visiting more than 30 tech companies and is of the opinion that Nvidia Tegra will have a busy 2011.

What’s more interesting is that Srivastava thinks that the next version of Samsung’s tablet will be “based on an Nvidia chip.”

This, if true will be a surprising move by Samsung because they’ve developed a dual-core successor of Hummingbird (which powers the current-gen Galaxy Tab). One apparent reason could be to segregate the smartphones and tablets with different choice of processors.

Let’s hope Samsung will reveal more information at the CES in few weeks.

Under the hood, it is still the same with a 11.6-inch screen (1366×768), 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU, ION LE chipset, Nvidia GeForce 9400M GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI-out, USB ports with one capable of charging USB gadgets even when the notebook is powered off, 1.3MP camera and a 6-cell battery that gives about 6.5 hours of runtime.

I don’t know what is more surprising – the price Samsung is quoting for its first ION powered netbook or the existence of ION LE chip? NetbookChoice unearthed the manual on Samsung’s website that shows ION LE will handle the graphics for N510.

For starters, ION LE is designed mainly for Windows XP and supports DirectX9 as compared to the ION that has DX10 support and Lenovo S12 happens to be the netbook that houses it.

As far as other features are concerned, it will have 1.66GHz N280 Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce 9400M GPU, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.

Download the manual to see more pictures of the netbook (page 51 onwards).

[Thanks Kenny!]

M1 has been in the news because of its integration of an Nvidia chipset and we’re happy to confirm that Samsung new PMP boast the powerful Tegra chip inside. The rest of the specs are appealing too. The lightweight 91g and sleek PMP will come in capacities of 8/16/32GB and feature a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, T-DMB, E-Dictionary, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Voice recorder, DNSe 3.0, Text to Speech, integrated speakers.

With the wide variety of format support, you’ll be free from the hassles of converting content. On the music front, it supports MP3/WMA/OGG/ASF/AAC/M4A/FLAC whereas on video WMV/DivX/Xvid/SWF/H.264/ASF/MPEG4 and JPEG/BMP/PNG for images.

Despite the overwhelming spec sheet, the lack of Wi-Fi and a web browser kinda breaks the deal.

The M1 PMP will sell soon in South Korea and will be bundled with EP390 earphones.
