<p>Samsung and Visa who are the official partners of Olympic Games have announced their collaboration to bring mobile payments in London before and during the Olympic Games. Mobile Payment will be done via NFC (Near Field Communications) using Visa’s contactless payment technology and will be accepted at more than 60,000 locations across London.</p>
<p>As part of this initiative, Samsung will provide contactless enabled Olympics handset to Visa and other Samsung sponsored athletes. Samsung will also release a handset for consumers that will sell through distributors and mobile operators.</p>

<p>Samsung today announced their association with Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games as a worldwide presenting partner of the Digital Concierge for Singapore 2010. Under this deal, Samsung will provide 5,000 units of OmniaLITE (B7300) phones to the authorities as well as participating athletes.</p>
<p>The phone will be pre-loaded with Digital Concierge for Singapore 2010 app that will enable users to personalize schedules, maps, sport results, social networking, a multi-lingual dictionary and more.</p>
<p>Samsung has somewhat a similar sponsorship for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics where <a href="http://www.samsunghub.com/2009/11/03/bell-makes-omnia-ii-official-mobile-device-of-2010-olympic-winter-games/" target="_blank">Omnia II is the official device</a> and has an app known as <a href="http://www.samsunghub.com/2009/11/04/samsung-to-provide-real-time-updates-of-vancouver-2010-olympic-winter-games/" target="_blank">WOW</a> to track happenings of the Olympic Games.</p>

<p>Samsung is the Worldwide Olympic Partner in Wireless Communications Equipment and being the official partner have some advantages. They’ve announced the availability of Wireless Olympic Works (WOW) communications platform, an app that will provide real-time updates to users during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.</p>
<p>Any Samsung device running Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 will be able to download the new app that Samsung claims will deliver up-to-date Olympic news, schedules, results and medal standings previously available only to official staff.</p>
<p>WOW will be added to the Samsung Application Store soon or below are few instructions if you want to download right away.</p>
<p>Recently, Samsung <a href="http://www.samsunghub.com/2009/11/03/bell-makes-omnia-ii-official-mobile-device-of-2010-olympic-winter-games/" target="_blank">announced</a> Omnia II will be the official handset of the Winter Olympic games.</p>
