Samsung has announced a new limited edition model of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. To commemorate the victory of Samsung Lions Baseball Team in Korean Series Championship, Samsung will sell the Lions special edition of Galaxy Tab 10.1. It will be limited to just 150 units where a consumer will get an engraved Galaxy Tab 10.1, a ball and a Lions kit.

Samsung is taking pre-orders and will release it this week in D’light shops.

Samsung has announced a special edition of its svelte and durable Series 9 notebook. The new edition will keep the same hardware but will come in two luxurious looking colors — Moonlight Blue and Rose Gold. There’s also a crystal design pattern on the notebook lid for added effect.

No word on the price but expect to pay some premium over the regular Series 9.

O2 has tied up with Samsung to provide a special edition Monte (S5620) phone. The phone will be exclusively sold by O2 and it comes with special Iron Man bundle to commemorate the Iron Man 2’s launch. The first Iron Man movie will be loaded in the SD card as well as get some exclusive Iron Man 2 content like a trailer and interviews with the cast and the crew.

Apart from that, you’re basically looking at the same Monte with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, TouchWiz 2.0 UI, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio with RDS, 3.2MP camera, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot.

Users buying S5560 from any of Samsung’s selected retailers till May 21, 2010 will be eligible for a free b + a b premium set. The premium set includes a shining star phone strap, a S5560 phone case (Shining Star on the left and Punk England on the right) and a b + a b HK$100 discount coupon.

Samsung’s Corby range might have taken Star S5230’s cheapest touchscreen phone tag but the hot selling Star is living in the form of special editions. Two special editions of Star S5230 have been rolled out in Germany – one to please the football fans and the other to please the women. The Fan Package phone allows soccer loving German consumers to show their support for the team who’ll play the FIFA world cup in South Africa this year. Samsung will sell the device in white to match Germany’s jersey color.

On the other hand, La Fleur Edition comes in dull pink hue with lovely floral designs on the battery cover and bit on the front side of the phone.

Both the phones will start selling in May for 245 euros.

Samsung will be wooing all Michael Jackson fans by selling a special edition of its portable S2 external hard drive. The special edition drive will come in a golden hue with MJ’s silhouette as well as pre-loaded with pop star’s THIS IS IT movie on the 500GB HDD.

Samsung says the launch will coincide with the movie’s DVD and Blu-ray release on Feb 22 in Europe.

Additionally, the S2 HDD boasts all the regular features, like Auto Backup, USB On Board tech, SecretZone, SafetyKey and more.

Samsung has not revealed the price yet.

Spaniards have got a special edition of Samsung My Touch exclusively from Movistar. Samsung roped in renowned Spanish designer Custo Dalmau to launch this My Touch 2GB Custo Special Edition. This edition does not get any changes on the hardware front but gets a special artwork on the battery cover and a bag to please the lovely ladies.

The phone is an elder sibling to Star that features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 3G, 3.2MP camera, TouchWiz UI, music player, 2GB internal memory and microSD card slot (up to 8GB).

Despite Samsung’s portfolio boasting different netbook offerings, its maiden netbook is still registering some good sales. The Korean giant today announced that the NC10 netbook has now surpassed the sales figure of 1.5m units in a short period of just one year. NC10 was introduced in September last year and it reached 1m units in May this year.

To commemorate the global sales, Samsung also announced an NC10 Special Edition for a special price in South Korea. For 599,000 Won ($500) user gets all the benefits of the netbook like 10.1-inch display, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Bluetooth etc.

Still vouch that ’70-80s music was the best? Well, if you happen to live in South Korea and agree to the aforementioned question, Samsung has got something for you to relive those moments. Sammy along with Mnet have launched YP-P3 Memories Special Edition that bundles 500 songs from that era spanning across variety of genres.

Samsung has also tweaked the UI a bit to accommodate larger icons, karaoke support and songs categorized so that a user can play it according to his mood.

YP-P3 will come in 8GB storage in Black and Pink colors. It will be released in November for 279,000 Won (US$232).

If black and white colored N510 are too dull for your taste Samsung has prepared a red special edition one too. Spotted at the IFA, this special edition notebook comes in red color with glossy black wavy lines to give it an artistic impression. Under the hood, it is still the same with a 11.6-inch screen (1366×768), 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU, ION LE chipset, Nvidia GeForce 9400M GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI-out, USB ports with one capable of charging USB gadgets even when the notebook is powered off, 1.3MP camera and a 6-cell battery that gives about 6.5 hours of runtime.

The price of this special edition is not known but it will be initially available in Korea.
