Samsung announced a voluntary recall of refrigerators being sold in their home country. About 210,000 units from the SRS, SRT and SRN series sold between March 2005 and 2006 are said to be affected causing the defrost heater to overheat and pose a hazard. Samsung says the chances of an incident are slim but they do not want to compromise consumer’s safety.

Customers owning the aforementioned models can call Samsung Service Center (1588-3366) or visit their site by clicking here.

It looks like Sammy will ditch its own DNSe technology to be used in their mobile phones. They have announced a multi-year partnership with SRS that will allow them to use SRS audio and voice technologies that includes SRS Circle Surround Headphone, SRS WOW HD and SRS VIP+.

Samsung says that users will be able to get a 5.1 surround sound effect over headphones with the implementation of SRS technology. No word on which phones will be launched first but be assured that most of the high-end Samsung phones will have this.
