Samsung has launched an affordable phone targeted at avid texters. The T404 is now available on Tracfone that looks like a normal candybar feature phone but integrates a horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Apart from the spaced-out keyboard, the phone is pretty mediocre that features a 2.2-inch display with 240×320 pixel resolution support, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, music player, microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB and battery life of up to 7 hours.

Samsung’s US website has spilled details on a new touchscreen phone expected on TracFone. Unlike most touchscreen devices that run on Android OS, the SGH-t528g is a feature phone running Samsung’s proprietary OS with TouchWiz UI 2.0.

Additionally, it has a 3-inch touchscreen display, 3G support, 2MP camera with video recorder, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, quick access to social networking access and a talk time of up to 6 hours with standby reaching up to 10.5 days.

This morning a tipster sent these images claiming to be of Trill (SCH-r520) and T401G. Trill was leaked last month and the details jibe with the previous report. Bound for US Cellular, the slider phone is targeted at music aficionados that has a dedicated music button, 1GB internal memory with microSD slot supporting up to 32GB and Bang & Olufsen ICEpower for rich audio quality.

T401G goes for the text messaging crowd with an alphanumeric keypad on the front and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.3MP camera and microSD card slot.
