After South Korea, Sweden and Taiwan, Samsung’s Pink colored Galaxy S II will come to the United Kingdom. Retailer Phones4U will sell the device for free with a minimum monthly commitment of GBP21.50.

Phone features include 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 8MP main camera, 2MP front-facing camera, full HD video recording and playback, microSD card slot and more.

The phone will be released on February 13, just in time before Valentine’s Day.

Within couple of hours, Samsung and Google’s first Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) running phone will go on sale in UK. Phones4u will start selling Galaxy Nexus from 8AM today at Oxford Street in London. Phones4u will also treat the first 100 early adopters with a 250GBP voucher that can be spent on movies, music and other content on the phone.

Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280×720) and features HSPA+ connectivity, a 5MP camera with full HD video recording support, 1.3MP front-facing camera, dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, full HD playback support, 16 or 32GB internal memory, NFC and 1750mAh battery.

According to a report on ZDNet UK, now Apple has sued Samsung in the United Kingdom. The lawsuit was filed on Sep 12 and is in fact retaliation to the suit filed by Samsung in June. The details and the alleged infringements are unknown but it’s safe to say Apple is claiming infringements related to its iPhone and iPad devices.

Meanwhile, Samsung also filed a suit against Apple in France in July and yesterday, filed an appeal against the ban of Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany.

The white Galaxy S II that was leaked before has been confirmed by the Samsung UK. Consumers will be able to buy the newly painted phone from Sep 1 via major retailers as well as operators. Unlike Galaxy S that only had the back side painted white, Galaxy S II has a matching same color on both the sides.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z that was limited to Sweden till now has got a new country and a name. The phone will arrive by end of this month in UK and will be known as Galaxy R. Apart from the name change, we’re looking at the same Galaxy Z.

Unlike Galaxy S II, Galaxy R is powered by Nvidia’s 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and comes with a 4.2-inch Super LCD screen. The phone adopts a metallic back to give it a premium look and features a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and playback, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, 8GB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB.

No details on the pricing but expect it to be cheaper than Galaxy S II.

Samsung has confirmed the release date of its 10.1-inch tablet running Honeycomb OS for UK. Just like few other European countries, Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi and 3G models will be released in UK in August (4th to be exact). Price however, is not revealed.

Internally, the new Tab fares well with a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3MP and 2MP cameras, 21Mbps HSPA+ support, DLNA and more.

As for the smaller Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung says to launch later this year in UK, which we assume should be in September.

Samsung has set May 1 as the release date for Galaxy S II in UK but it seems Phones4u can deliver it a few days early. The retailer promises to sell the phone from April 27 and if you manage to pre-order before 27th, you’ll also get an 8GB memory card.

Meanwhile, Samsung has announced the price and availability details for Austria. The Galaxy S II will be available in Austria from early May on A1 while Orange and Three subscribers can expect from mid-May. It will retail for 699 euros without contract.

If there were any apprehensions about Samsung Estonia’s claim about Galaxy S II 1.2GHz CPU, here is another confirmation from the UK arm. TechRadar has confirmed with Samsung that Galaxy S II will have 1.2GHz dual-core processor when it launches in the UK but there’s no exact answer if the said processor will be the Samsung one or Nvidia.

The site also claims that their source has iterated an April launch for the European region, which means it could be somewhere around the Korean launch date.

We do know that unbranded Galaxy S’ Android 2.3 update is expected sometime in mid-April but Galaxy S users on Three UK can expect the Gingerbread treatment soon. There’s no exact date to go with but Three UK replied to a subscriber that the Galaxy S 2.3 update is expected in the “next couple of weeks.”

This is good news as users using locked Galaxy S on other operators can expect an update in the same timeframe.
