<p>Samsung has announced its newest Galaxy Tab for the American market. The Super AMOLED Plus-toting Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be launched by Verizon in the coming weeks and will be showcased at the CES from tomorrow.</p>
<p>The 7.9mm thick Galaxy Tab 7.7 boasts an HD display supporting a resolution of 1280&#215;800 pixels and features 1.4GHz dual-core processor, Honeycomb 3.2 OS, Peel Smart Remote to work as an infrared remote, 4G LTE support, various Hubs support, 3MP rear-facing and 2MP front-facing cameras, 720p HD video recording and full HD playback support, Allshare, Wi-Fi, 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot.</p>

<p>The wait is finally over for the Americans as Verizon Wireless has announced the release of the first Android 4.0 phone. Starting today, users will be able to buy Galaxy Nexus (SCH-I515) from Verizon for $299.99 on contract or for just $155 if you buy via <a href="https://www.facebook.com/LetsTalk?sk=app_203351739677351" target="_blank">Let’s Talk</a> with coupon code $75VZN.</p>
<p>Few differences between the Verizon and the international variant is the support for LTE, is slightly thicker and heavier and comes with an 1850mAh battery.</p>
<p>Other features include a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with curved glass, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 5MP camera with zero shutter lag, full HD video playback and recording support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ice Cream Sandwich features like Face Unlock, Android Beam etc.</p>

After months of leaks and a <a href="http://sammyhub.com/2011/09/15/samsung-evergreen-and-illusion-get-certification-from-underwriters-laboratories/" target="_blank">certification</a> from Underwriters Laboratories for the use of eco-friendly materials, Samsung’s Illusion will be available for purchase from Verizon from tomorrow for $79.99 on a two-year contract. However, if you can wait a day more, Verizon will be selling the device for free on a contract till November 28 as part of an online promotion.</p>
<p>On the hardware front, Illusion is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, Android 2.3 OS, 3G support, 3MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot up to 32GB.</p>
<p>It will be available in Verizon stores in January 2012.</p>

<p>It looks like Verizon will settle for a name that was known amongst the rumormongers until Google and Samsung christened it as Galaxy Nexus. A leaked Best Buy catalog posted over at <a href="http://phandroid.com/2011/11/21/samsung-nexus-prime-shows-up-in-leaked-best-buy-ad-no-longer-the-galaxy-nexus/" target="_blank"><em>Phandroid</em></a> shows an ad that clearly mentions Verizon’s variant as Nexus Prime. The reason for a name change seems to be a marketing decision which will supposedly allow Verizon to differentiate its Nexus offering than the international version.</p>
<p>Nexus Prime on Verizon is expected to reach consumers in the next few weeks for a price of $299.99 on a two-year contract.</p>
