We do know that Samsung is working on a 10-inch tablet but if Blogeee’s source is to be believed, it will be different than the current 7-inch Galaxy Tab. Purportedly known as the Gloria, the 10-inch tablet will run Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS with a customized user interface that sits on top. Additionally, the tablet will also gain a horizontal-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard.

Having a physical QWERTY keyboard is always a plus but I’m not sure of having it on a tablet as large as this because typing on a Galaxy Tab in portrait mode is faster and comfortable as compared to typing in landscape orientation.

The tablet is still unconfirmed and so is the image. However, if it turns out to be true, we can expect the tablet to be unveiled by April 2011.

Samsung and Microsoft have teamed up to promote usage of energy efficient computers. Both the companies will pitch consumers to go for environmental friendly computers, which is possible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS onboard along with Samsung’s energy efficient 40nm-based DDR3 RAM.

Windows 7 claims to reduce power consumption with the new power management function and when used with Samsung’s 40nm DDR3 RAM, a user can achieve high performance while using less power.

Samsung also announced to upgrade all its corporate PCs to Microsoft’s newest OS starting from 2010.

Samsung has announced N140 netbook loaded with Windows 7 for the Indian market. N140 looks to be just another netbook but the differentiation comes from its curved exterior that makes it easy to carry and a whopping 11 hours of battery life. Rest of the specs are more or less at par with other netbooks – 10.1-inch WSVGA anti-glare display, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, GMA950 integrated graphics, SRS enabled speakers, spill-proof anti-bacterial keyboard, 1.3MP webcam, USB ports, card reader and oodles of connectivity options like Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Samsung N140 currently sells for Rs. 24,990 backed by a 1-year warranty.
