Purported Samsung device with Flexible Display spied [Updated]

February 2, 2012 By kunal 5 Comments

UPDATE: As pointed out in the comments, this is a flexible display prototype showcased at CES 2011. Check out the video.

Few pictures of an unnamed Samsung device has been posted by a Chinese website. Although the site claims it to be of Galaxy S III, we don’t think that is the case. The images seem to be more of a PMP than a smartphone.

Anyways, interesting thing about the device is that it sports a flexible display. Samsung had hinted about the commercial availability of flexible displays in 2012 and it seems a working prototype is already floating around.

Moreover, the site claims that this Galaxy S III will be powered by a quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.0 OS, 4.6-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED Plus 3D display and 12MP camera.

So what do you think of the images? Fake or not.

You are Samsung specialists, but you don’t recognize this device? It’s a flexible amoled prototype Samsung demonstred at CES last year. Check this video at 0:25 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJEHp15Hoo0&feature=player_embedded#!
