Samsung’s Xcover phones are known for its toughness and the ability to survive in extreme conditions. However, the Xcover range lacked a proper smartphone, until now. Samsung has unveiled the all new Galaxy Xcover that runs on Android OS, giving all the advantages of a smartphone as well as the ability to withstand harsh environment.
The phone is certified by IP67 standard, which means the phone is safe against dust, accidental drops and one meter water for up to 30 minutes. On the features side, the phone runs on Gingerbread OS and comes with a 3.65-inch display with scratch-resistant tempered glass, 3.2MP camera with LED flash that can double up as a flashlight, Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps.
The phone will be available in Germany and Ukraine from October.
