Samsung is apparently developing ‘Lite’ versions of its devices, according to couple of reports on SamMobile. The site claims Samsung will unveil Lite versions of Galaxy Grand and the Galaxy Note 3 next year at MWC that will carry a cheaper price tag.
Galaxy Grand Lite (GT-I9060) is speculated to have a 5-inch WVGA display along with 1.2GHz quad-core processor, dual-SIM support, 1GB RAM, 5MP camera, 8GB internal memory and 2100mAh battery while the Galaxy Note 3 Lite (SM-N7505) will purportedly have an LCD screen of 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch (Samsung is testing the device with both the sizes) and 8MP camera.
We’re not sure why Samsung would want to introduce Lite variants of its devices but we assume it could be to replace the ‘mini’ series, which generally follows every flagship device after the launch.
