64GB Solid State Disk

Samsung’s continuous innovation helps the technological world. At the annual Mobile Solution Forum in Taipei, they showed a 64GB Solid State Disk (SSD) for notebooks. With the capacity of the SSDs getting larger and larger, it is destined to take over the conventional HDDs. The two main advantages of SSDs are that they are faster than the conventional HDDs and they consume less power. The new 64GB SSD has managed to read 20% faster and write 60% faster than its predecessor which was available in capacity of 32GB. Watch a short clip after the jump showing the boot time difference between a SSD equipped laptop and a conventional HDD one.
