Samsung’s LED backlit 40-inch LCD TV has bagged this year’s SID Gold Award for Display of the Year. SID 2007 which starts from tomorrow will see Samsung’s some of the technology advanced products. This television has a contrast ratio of 10000:1 which is higher than any other LCD TV with a CCFL backlight. The color saturation is a good 105% than the NTSC standard. Amongst the other products to be exhibited at the SID, there will be 70-inch HDTVs capable of a refresh rate of 120MHz, an A4 sized color e-paper, 24-inch LED backlit monitor and the world’s largest black and white e-paper measuring at 40 inches.
