Samsung confirms Chrome OS netbook

Samsung N120

Samsung is on the list to launch a Chrome OS netbook later this year. At a notebook launch, Samsung Australia’s Phil Newton confirmed to launch a Chrome OS netbook equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G.

Newton said the netbook will be similar to N210, which means it will have a 10.1-inch display, 2GB RAM, 12-hour battery life and 64GB storage (mostly SSD). The processor is unknown at the moment but there’s a speculation of Samsung going with Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor.

Google is expecting to release the OS by end of this year so we can expect the netbook around the same time.
