Samsung Galaxy S gets benchmarked against Nexus One, Desire

Here’s another reason to go with Galaxy S if you’ve been on the fence with Samsung’s upcoming Android device. CNET Asia has been playing with a review unit for quite some time and decided to pit the device against the likes of Nexus One and HTC Desire. The test was done to evaluate CPU, 2D and 3D performance of these phones.

The result? To cut the long story short, the Hummingbird SoC rocks. However, if you’re intrigued by the numbers, head over to the link below to read the detailed stats.

The phone’s expected to reach in hands of consumers in almost 110 countries by this month.

I don’t know.. Seems pretty impressive but here in india no matter how cool and awesome the samsunf set seems, its better to wait and go with the HTC, because for the lack of a better word the after sales service of samsung here sucks and we can’t even get hold of the customer complaint division! So, go for HTC if you don’t want to regret your decision. I bought the galaxy i7500 and I feel just sorry for myself….

@Shouvik: I think Samsung let down every I7500 user around the world and not just in India. But yes, I agree that Samsung’s after sales service is below par and they need to work on if they want to increase their market share in India.

Considering that the phone that’s actually shipping WILL NOT come with a Hummingbird processor, I think that benchmark is a little misleading.

If it were shipping with a Hummingbird processor, then I could accept that, but EVERY review or mention lately about the Galaxy S has stated that it comes with a Snapdragon.

So……let’s compare apples to apples, shall we ? Also, the N1 now has Fro-Yo, which the Galaxy S will NOT be shipping with, which vastly improves performance of 3D.

EVERY review I’ve read specifically mentions the Hummingbird processor. Perhaps you could cite EVERY review you’ve seen with a link? Surely, you have 10 or 15 lined up, since there are clearly so many?
