Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus with Honeycomb OS, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus that was leaked about a week back. The new Galaxy Tab builds on the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab device and weighs just 345g and has a thickness of just 9.96mm. Samsung has kept the same screen resolution (WSVGA, 1024×600) as previous 7-inch tablet and comes with a PLS display panel.

Amongst the improvements, the new tablet now runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 21Mbps HSPA+ support. Rounding the spec sheet is TouchWiz support, 3MP autofocus main camera and 2MP front-facing camera, full HD video playback with 720p HD video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, 16 or 32GB of internal memory and microSD card slot support up to 64GB.

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will start selling in Indonesia and Austria from mid-October and will be gradually rolled out in other regions.
