Samsung expects to sell 374 milllion phones in 2012

December 27, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung had an excellent 2011 in terms of mobile phone sales and it seems next year will be bigger and better. Korea Economic Daily claims that Samsung will jack up its sales projection by 15 percent, which comes to around 374 million handsets. This figure will also include smartphone sales which is expected to stay around 150 million units.

The 2012 sales projection, if true, will close the gap between Samsung and Nokia, the current market leader, who is projected to sell about 399 million units.

Samsung projected to sell 300 million mobile phones in 2011 but passed the milestone easily, thanks to the excellent sales of Galaxy S II.
