Samsung acquires Nanoradio

Samsung has confirmed that they have acquired Sweden-based Nanoradio AB. While the details of the transaction are kept under wraps, the acquisition will help Samsung to leverage Nanoradio’s Wi-Fi chipsets. Nanoradio claims their integrated circuits are developed to have an improved power efficiency, performance in a small physical form factor.

Nanoradio is a fabless company founded in 2004 and develops Wi-Fi chips that can be integrated in variety of devices like mobile phones, tablets, wireless network cameras, PMPs, wireless headsets etc.
