US Department Of Justice ends investigation against Samsung

Back in 2012, Samsung’s legal tussle with Apple had attracted attention from the US Department Of Justice who demanded a probe on Samsung’s patents. Now Reuters reports that the department has decided to put an end to the investigation. The investigation involved Samsung’s use of essential patents to sue Apple but since the decision on the ban was overturned last year, the department felt the investigation was not needed.

The Justice Department will however, continue to monitor the ongoing patent litigation between both the global giants.
