After the alliance with Microsoft to use each other’s patents, Samsung has inked a cross-licensing deal with world’s largest wireless network maker, Ericsson. This means that Samsung will now be able to use Ericsson’s patents by paying them a royalty and will be able to develop, manufacture and sell 2G and 3G subscriber and infrastructure equipments.

Another favorable outcome of this deal is that both the companies have also decided to drop all the pending patent infringement lawsuits.
