Samsung takes the top spot in U.S. HDTV market

A research from DisplaySearch has confirmed Samsung as the undisputed HDTV leader in the U.S. for the fourth year. In the year 2009, Samsung maintained its market share lead with 17.1 percent along with a healthy share of 28.6 percent in the 40-inch and larger category.

Samsung also led the LED HDTV market enjoying a 60.3 percent share in terms of sales and 72.5 percent in terms of revenues.

Samsung grabbed about 26.6 percent of total revenues for the year 2009 in the U.S. market.
