Samsung has announced that Sprint has chosen them to provide the requisite equipment and services for its next-generation Network Vision network. The agreement will allow Samsung to deploy multi-mode base stations that will enhance Sprint’s usage of 800/1900 MHz spectrum.
Additionally, Samsung will also help Sprint with All-IP CDMA core network elements, Microwave Backhaul and services like network design, deployment, optimization and support.
Samsung has been working closely with Sprint for the last three years and has been instrumental in launching the 4G service as well as launching a 4G-enabled Epic 4G phone.
