Samsung expects to pass its 2011 smartphone sales target

November 28, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

JK Shin back in July said that Samsung could surpass its 2011 smartphones sales target and the company iterated the same today at an event in South Korea to launch Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Reuters is citing an unnamed Samsung executive (we assume it to be Shin) who claims they can easily surpass the target, thanks to the good sales of Galaxy smartphones.

We are pinning high hopes…on achieving sales higher than our previous plan.

Disappointingly we don’t know the new target for Samsung.

Meanwhile, Samsung also projected to sell at least 2 million Galaxy Note handsets. Samsung did not give any particular time frame to reach its sales target.
