Galaxy S III-related rumors are flying thick and fast. A new report by CNET is a complete contrast to the previous one that promised a power packed device. The site is citing an UK telecom industry source who claims that the new Galaxy phone will be a “relatively minor update from S2.”
While the source didn’t divulge any specs, he did hint that it will mostly be on the lines of HTC One X. Another interesting feature is the eye tracking technology which will work in conjunction with the front-facing camera. For instance, the camera will detect when the user is looking at the phone and will keep the display on and will turn if off if he’s looking away. This feature sounds nifty but implementation will remain be the key.
The final piece of info claimed by CNET is that the phone won’t be known as Galaxy S III. Now this is one piece we’ve heard as well. The phone is known as ‘Bali’ internally but according to one our moles, it may or may not retail as Galaxy Next.
Samsung will unwrap the device on May 3 in London.
