Samsung looking to free some Galaxy S4 storage space through software optimisation

Galaxy S4 is one of the best phones to buy right now but the storage space available out of the box on the 16GB model has been criticised by many. Earlier, Samsung suggested to use the microSD card slot for extra storage but has now changed its stance after UK show Watchdog took up the issue.

Samsung has confirmed to CNET UK that they’re “listening to the customers” and “are reviewing the possibility to secure more memory space through further software optimisation.”

The 16GB Galaxy S4 gives only half the storage space to consumers while the rest is gobbled up by the operating system and various software enhancements by Samsung.
