Samsung confirms 64-bit processor for future smartphones

September 12, 2013 By kunal Leave a Comment

JK Shin Galaxy Note 3

Earlier this week, Apple announced their iPhone 5s smartphone with a 64-bit processor. Not to be outdone, Samsung’s co-CEO JK Shin also confirmed that 64-bit processor for its Galaxy line of smartphones is also underway. While Shin didn’t have an exact timeline, he promised that “next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality”.

We assume 64-bit processor could be featured in the Galaxy Note 4 expected next year.

Shin also emphasised on expanding its business in China and Japan as Apple is also looking to bolster its operation in both the markets.

Samsung understands that Apple intends to boost its mobile business in China, as well as in Japan, meaning that we should try harder in these countries.
