Samsung will have to offer more concessions to end EU antitrust investigation

In mid-October, Samsung offered a set of commitments to the EU Commission to settle the ongoing antitrust investigation. Now Joaquin Almunia has said that the Korean company may have to offer more than before to settle this completely.

Samsung may have to improve concessions offered two months ago to end an antitrust investigation into its patent dispute with rival Apple.

The above statement from Almunia comes after the EU Commission “market-tested these commitments” as well as the feedback.

The Commission will discuss the possible improvements in the coming weeks.
