Samsung’s first and only biometric-enabled device is the Galaxy S5. However, Samsung is working to bring biometric features to more devices. In a forum, Samsung’s senior vice president Rhee In-jong confirmed that biometric sensor could come to low-end smartphone and tablets.

To top things off, Rhee also confirmed that they’re looking at different biometric mechanisms, including iris detection.

When will this be mainstream is an answer even we don’t know yet but Samsung certainly has plans to make it more useful in the future.
