Samsung has officially announced the much anticipated Galaxy S III. The phone is more or less what the rumors suggested – it comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, an 8MP camera, Android 4.0 OS and more. However, with the Galaxy S III, Samsung emphasizes on “natural interaction.” Galaxy S III comes with the Smart Stay feature which works in conjunction with the 1.9MP front-facing camera and helps to maintain a bright display for the phone. Additionally, it features S Voice that detects user’s voice to execute commands and Direct Call that places a call automatically to a contact while placing the phone on the ear.
Other features include support for 3G or 4G (depending on the market), 4.8-inch 1280×720 display, 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4 Quad processor, an 8MP camera with burst mode, full HD video recording and playback, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/GLONASS, NFC with S Beam support, 16/32/64GB internal storage options, microSD card slot (up to 64GB) and 2100mAh battery.
Samsung will release the phone on May 29 in Europe followed by other regions.
