Samsung Planning Galaxy S III-like Variant For Tizen?

September 21, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

A new device powered by Tizen has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Interestingly, the device to be certified is listed as “GT-I9300_TIZEN” and if you’re aware of model numbers of Samsung devices, I9300 belongs to Galaxy S III. There’s a fair chance Samsung may just be testing the new OS on an existing phone but it raises the question why would it land for certification?

Anyways, the Tizen running I9300 seems to support dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and the newly announced Miracast standard.
