US Judge Allows Samsung To Add iPhone 5; Apple To Add Galaxy Note, Galaxy S III In Lawsuit

November 16, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

US Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal has now approved requests from both Samsung and Apple to add new products to its existing lawsuit. This means Samsung will add iPhone 5 to its list of infringing Apple products whereas the iPhone maker seeks to add Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S III and even Jelly Bean OS that runs on Galaxy Nexus.

Grewal lauded Samsung for acting with “reasonable diligence” for asking to add the iPhone 5 to the case whereas the judge warned Apple to “think twice” since new products can be added by Samsung, specifically the iPad 4 and the iPad mini.

The lawsuit is expected to go right down to the wire since Samsung Mobile’s head recently confirmed that they’re not looking for any settlement with Apple.
