UPDATE: The I9508 is the only variant that will come with a Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.9 GHz.
Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S4 for the world’s biggest telecom market. Unlike most European and American markets where Samsung has announced the device with Snapdragon chip, the Galaxy S4 for China will be equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa processor. Samsung will sell four variants in China, including three for carriers – the regular I9500, I9508 for China Mobile, dual-SIM I9502 for China Unicom and CDMA/GSM-supported I959 for China Telecom.
The phone can be ordered for 5,199 yuan.
Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S4 in 155 countries and will be available in majority of them by end of next month.
Thanks, Lin!
