Galaxy Gear that went on sale yesterday is currently compatible with the Galaxy Note 3. However, Planete Galaxy decided to give Galaxy S4 a try with the Galaxy Gear and surprisingly, the combo worked. As evident from the video, Galaxy Gear works pretty well with Samsung’s Galaxy S4 after installing the Gear Manager app via Samsung Apps.
The only drawback right now seems to be the apps support, which is only active for the Galaxy Note 3 and not Galaxy S4.
Samsung confirmed yesterday to expand full Galaxy Gear support to the Galaxy S4 by next month and Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III support by December-end.
