It seems Samsung will do the inevitable and launch an LTE-toting Galaxy S in India soon, according to a Mumbai-based retailer. Samsung India is expected to launch the SM-G900I variant in India that will support Indian LTE bands and will be powered by Snapdragon 801.
Interestingly, Samsung has used a Snapdragon equipped device to demo the smartphone in stores but the retail unit sold was powered by Exynos.
FoneArena says the G900I supports B1 (2,100), B2 (1,900), B3 (1,800), B5 (850), B7 (2,600), B8 (900), B40 (2,300) and B28 (700) bands and should work with Airtel 4G that uses 2300Mhz.
As for the price, the MRP of the phone is said to be around Rs. 56,000 but the market operated price should be around Rs. 1,500 more than the Exynos 3G variant, which means expect it to be hovering at Rs. 40,000.
