Samsung today announced a dual SIM based phone in Malaysia. Called as the SGH-D880, it has a slider form factor and two GSM SIM cards can be used simultaneously to make calls as well as send SMSes. This is done with the help of Dual Active Standby technology.
D880 also boasts a superior 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and a larger battery life providing a standby time of 360 hours. The price is unknown but Samsung Malaysia is expecting to sell around 10000 units within the first 3-4 months.
